Thank you for a wonderful stay in Albany. The Whale Watching from The Gap and Natural Bridge was spectacular. I spotted 6 and Nikki - 3. Surfing under the windmills was an experience too. The local lad, Roger, who agreed to paddle out with me into the cold & isolated waters, never got past the shore break. So it was just me floating around out there in that Great Southern Ocean (& the windmills eying me over my shoulder from the cliffs) the comfort of your cozy home very rewarding, on return from our daily Albany adventures.
So different from when I was here in 1992, sleeping on the top of Mt Adelaide in the back of my wagon, terrified of the hoon's outside doing burn outs up the mountain! So different! So Rewarding! God bless you and this wonderful town. Nikki & Rob |

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ocean Mist, a beautiful holiday home in a fantastic location. We particularly loved the rugged scenery around The Gap and Natural Bridge - even better than the north coast of Cornwall! But also the tranquility of Frenchman,s Bay - a delightful spot for a picnic. Sail-away p revised some close encounters with whales, including a very young calf - newborn, according to John, the Skipper... Hope to be back one day, Thank you for all the lovely touches!

Following double-platinum sales for her last album Curiouser in 2008, sets at Coachella, international dates supporting Ben Folds, acclaimed opera performances in Australia and the UK, and catching US critics - from the New York Times to the New Yorker - off-guard, Kate Miller-Heidke returns with Nightflight, her first solo album in three years.
Nightflight signals a new-found sophistication in song-writing that sees Kate meditate on homesickness, mortality, love and surrender, in an album that is both sonically lush and emotionally stark, deeply personal and yet utterly panoramic.
Described as a ‘triumphant statement’ (Daily Telegraph) and a ‘masterpiece’ (The Brag), Kate’s third studio album Nightflight was released last year to critical acclaim, debuting at number two on the ARIA album charts.
Now, for the first time since the release of Nightflight, Kate is heading out on the road for an extensive tour of regional centres around Australia. Playing in intimate theatres and venues, Kate will be performing as a duo with her long-time collaborator Keir Nuttall on guitar.
Kate says, “Of course I love playing in the capital cities, but there is something very special about the audiences in regional areas. It has been more than three years since my last big regional tour, so this one is long overdue. These fans are hugely important to me, and I can't wait to see them!”
Supporting all shows on the tour will be Franky Walnut, a well-scrubbed country boy who has been enthralling audiences both locally and at home with his extensive back catalogue of between 6 and 7 songs, most of which he can remember the lyrics to without prompting. His material tackles weighty issues such as Australian identity and ringworm. He was a finalist in the first round heats of the Clintonvale State School talent quest and pie drive in 1987, after which he managed to kiss Shelley Nolan on the oval.
